Nathan Bieber is Assistant Conductor for the 2019-2020 fall/winter concert season. He is concurrently pursuing master’s degrees in both violin performance and orchestral conducting at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre and Dance. He just completed his first year of graduate school studying violin with David Halen, and orchestral conducting with Kenneth Kiesler. At school, he has been a member of the University Symphony Orchestra for five years. Previously, he has served as an assistant conductor of the Campus Philharmonia Orchestra, and has guest conducted the Ann Arbor Camerata. In April 2018, Nathan received his undergraduate diploma in violin performance with high honors, also from the University of Michigan, which he supplemented with a minor in business from the Ross School of Business. In recent years he has participated in the Innsbrook Institute Summer Festival and Academy, the Cambridge International String Academy, the National Orchestral Institute and Festival, and the Aspen Music Festival and School.
